MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
There will be a one-time joining fee charged to new members and also to members who have allowed their membership to lapse for a period of 30 days or more.
Memberships on the Bank Draft Payment Plan are perpetual and continue until a written 30 day advance notice is signed at our Welcome Center and membership cards are returned.
Memberships on the Annual Payment Plan are paid in full at the time that the membership is activated. Payment may be in the form of cash, check, Visa, or MasterCard.
Prior to the anniversary date for annual renewals, a billing is mailed that reflects the renewal rate. Upon request, a new membership card may be mailed.
Membership cards are mailed to new members within 7-10 days after the application has been made to join the facility. The written receipt or temporary membership card should be used to gain entrance until the new member receives a permanent card.
Special short-term memberships will be available for full-time college students (12+ hours) during the summer months, Christmas, Easter, and Spring breaks.
Entry into the building requires presenting your valid membership or participant card at the Welcome Center.
Failure to bring your card slows your entry and creates paperwork. Remember your card protects your investment.
Membership cards are nontransferable. Violation may result in a "No Refund" termination of membership.
Lost cards may be replaced for a fee at the Welcome Center.
Staff has the authority to suspend a member for conduct or actions which disregard the stated purposes or policies of the Family Y.
Children or adults may be suspended or terminated for disciplinary problems or violation of rules.
A suspension or termination may be appealed to the Membership/Program Committee.
The Family Y reserves the right to terminate a membership at “No Refund” for any member who fails to comply with established rules, policies, postings, and behavior not considered reasonable.
The Family Y understands that due to extended illness or physical disabilities, some special arrangements may be necessary.
These persons must contact the Membership Department. This freeze will begin with written notification from the member,
turning in his/her membership card(s), and a medical verification. Medical freezes will not be retroactive.
The Family Y will establish a time limit to the freeze.
Please note: The Family Y cannot freeze one member of a "Family" membership.
Please see the Membership Department if you are temporarily traveling out of state for an extensive time period. An extension of membership may be provided with proper documentation.
Members are permitted to bring guests to the Y. Payment of a guest fee is required per guest upon check in at the Welcome Center.
The member must be present and remain with their guest while in the facility. The Family Y reserves the right to limit the number of
guests to two per member. Remember you are responsible for your guests.
